The Orange Cat

The Orange Cat is handformed and handpainted by Marietta artist Marlene Rudginsky. The process of glazing The Orange Cat includes four firings in the kiln. Because this piece is not made from a mold, it truly is a one of a kind. Marlene credits her inspiration for the babushkas to her growing up as a child in an ethnic neighborhood in Montreal, Canada. The Orange Cat is fashioned after a friendly stray cat from Marlene's childhood.
