Sheila's Lamb

Sheila's Lamb is handformed and handpainted by Marietta artist Marlene Rudginsky. The process of glazing Sheila's Lamb includes four firings in the kiln. Because this piece is not made from a mold, it truly is a one of a kind. Marlene credits her inspiration for the babushkas to her growing up as a child in an ethnic neighborhood in Montreal, Canada. Sheila's Lamb is fashioned after a memory of her friend Sheila and her pet lamb.
