Babushka Weaving Stars is handformed and handpainted by Marietta artist Marlene Rudginsky. The process of glazing Babushka Weaving Stars includes four firings in the kiln. Because this piece is not made from a mold, it truly is a one of a kind. Marlene credits her inspiration for the babushkas to her growing up as a child in an ethnic neighborhood in Montreal, Canada. Babuska Weaving Stars is fashioned after a Christmas memory.
